1. Cutting Speed (Vc):

· Do not use cutting speeds far exceeding the recommended values. Excessively high speeds can cause the temperature of the cutting edge to rise sharply, leading to coating failure, plastic deformation (softening) of the cutting edge, or even welding.

· Also, avoid speeds that are too low. Low speeds can easily cause "built-up edge" (BUE) at the cutting tip, which can fall off and take away the material of the cutting edge, damaging the surface finish of the workpiece and causing abnormal wear.

2. Feed Rate (f) and Cutting Depth (ap):

· Avoid too small feed rates, especially when finishing tough materials. A feed rate that is too small can cause the cutting tip to rub against the hardened layer instead of cutting, increasing wear and possibly causing vibration.

· Adjustment Strategy: To increase the metal removal rate, prioritize increasing the cutting depth, then the feed rate, and finally consider adjusting the cutting speed.

3. Parameter Matching:

· The cutting speed, feed rate, and cutting depth need to be coordinated.
